Lifetime registration fee
A one of payment of £99
We charge a one-off registration fee once you register with us. This fee involves a lifetime replacement for a new carer if your provided carer needs a break or change of location. This covers our initial consultation, set-up requirements, and enables us to maintain an active carer pool to provide care in as little as 48 hours.
Financial support to pay for your care
In England, the threshold above which you’ll have to pay for your care in full is £23,250.
If your assets, including most investments and savings, are greater than £23,250, your local authority will consider you able to pay for your care yourself. It is worth noting that for consolidated within your own home, the value of your property will not be considered.
If you’re uncertain about your status, you can request an assessment from your local council to see if you qualify for help towards your care costs. Your assessment will be an evaluation of your financial means, and will calculate whether:

All the details are agreed in advance so you know exactly where you are before you commit to anything
Travel allowance
Carers charge for the cheapest method of travel, whether this is a second-class return rail ticket or the current recommended
HMRC mileage rates. All travel expenses will be agreed upon before care commences.
Bank holidays
Bank Holiday rates vary and apply; this is similar across the care sector.
Additional components
Occasionally, a little extra help may be required overnight. In these cases, carers will charge a ‘waking fee’. Clients would also typically be expected to cover the cost of carers’ food and household utilities.

MAGGIE Healthcare will invoice you at the end of every two weeks. This helps us to match you with the perfect employee.
